Blowing bubbles is a fun activity for kids of any age. But have you ever tried bouncing bubbles? It’s a whole new bubble science project that your kids will love and will play it for hours. My kids did.
Bouncing Bubbles Recipe
- 1 cup of distilled water
- 1/2 cup of dish detergent
- 1 spoon of sugar
- a pair of gloves or socks.
- a straw or a bubble wand.
Add dish detergent and sugar to water and mix well. Let it stay still for few hours. The longer you wait the stronger the bubbles will be. However, we did try to bounce them right away and we were pretty successful.
Put your gloves on, ask as friend to help you by blowing bubbles and start bouncing bubbles.
Do you wonder why bubbles bounce?
We did too. And we found out that bubbles hate oil and dirt that is on our skin so they just pop as soon as they touch that oily and dirty surface.
Watch out for more bubble experiments in the near future on Playtivities. We are hooked on bubbles this time of the year.
Try this recipe and let us know how it turned out! We would love to hear the feedback.
